This is a shot from Sibillini National Park, in Umbria Italy. We had some decent wild flowers to work with there but because of some late snow fall the bloom was going to be a few weeks late. Thanks for looking and your comments.
Wonderful shot Brett, and really fantastic to see a location I fell in love with through the eyes of someone else. Which way did you enter the valley from, from the road up near Castelluccio, or the one over the western ridge from Norcia? I love that entrance over the mountains...it's like coming into a lost valley. Did you see this place at dawn?
Man we pretty much drove every possible road around there , we even hit some of the dirt roads that take you up to the top there, it’s really a great place to explore for sure. Yeah it’s such a great view when you first see the whole plain ,, we were just there for sunset ,we worked the valleys for sunrise… are you heading back soon ? also really love all of your shot from your trip …some great work my friend…
I'd love to go back Brett. I'd love to see Umbria when there's more snow on the peaks, and Tuscany later in the spring when the grass is longer. Not sure when I'm going to have time in the foreseeable future, but I'll definitely get back.
